Update August 31st, 2021
We are planning and looking forwards to a 'normal' 4th edition of the KLM Aruba Marathon in 2022 but have a C-19 plan ready based on the 3rd edition of the KLM Aruba Marathon we organized on June 5th and 6th 2021.
How does it work?
Only vaccinated participants and negatively tested participants 12 years and older will receive the bib number. A participant who is not fully vaccinated or who can not submit a negative test result will be given the opportunity by the organization to be tested at OUR COSTS, Saturday morning, June 4th.
To avoid big crowds we divided the Race over 2 days and if necessary have multiple starts per distance.
Other measures may include: Social distance in the start area, face mask mandatory when collecting the start number and in the start area (not while running), taking the water yourself during the race at the water stations, taking the medal yourself at the finish, no awards ceremony, after party or public.
It is now too early to anticipate how the pandemic will develop. We are convinced that if necessary we will organize a great and safe race in the above-mentioned way and we also really assume and strongly believe that the World will look a lot better next year.
Good luck with your training schedule and see you at the start on 'One Happy Island'. We can't wait to see you!
